The Comfort Colors 1717

The 1717 is a heavyweight garment-dyed tee, 6.1 oz of 100% ring-spun US cotton with a tubular body and no side seams. Twill tape runs across the neck and shoulders, with a double-needle collar and double-needle sleeve and bottom hems. The cut is relaxed, so it hangs a little roomier than a standard retail tee.

Garment dyeing means the shirt gets dyed after it's sewn. That's what gives it the broken-in feel from the first wear and keeps shrinkage down to almost nothing. It also means slight shade variation from shirt to shirt is normal. That's the dye process working, not a defect.

How it's printed

This is a 1-Color white plastisol print, pulled by hand and cured on our dryer. Comfort Colors pigment dyes are heat sensitive, so these run at a lower fabric temperature than a standard blank. We print them in short batches and check every one coming off the press.

Sizing

We suggest staying true to size. The 1717 wears relaxed by design, but the measurements below are honest and the shirt is already pre-shrunk from the dye and wash process, so it won't tighten up on you later.

Measurements are in inches. Body length is taken from the highest point of the shoulder straight down. Chest width is laid flat, so double it for the full chest measurement.
